Words can heal, words can hurt.
Words can give or take away worth.
Angry words can cut like a knife.
Tender words can soothe our strife.
When you see a tear-soaked face.
Gentle words can show God's grace.
There are times to speak and times to cease.
Times to hold your tongue and keep the peace.
In God's economy words are living.
We must make sure ours are worth the giving.
